I learned more about The Whisperers today, they are loyal unlike the previous groups. They are whisperers by choice. They don't go by their comic book name though. They like to be associated with the dead, which should be a reason for their mask and hiding among them, instead of survival. Alpha is their leader.
"Daryl: This Beta, is he their best?...Good. We'll kill him first."
Beta is the second-in-command of Alpha. Not much is known about him yet, nothing about his background. But he looked more formidable than Alpha, but looks like he is 100% loyal to her. Beta is very strong, and his height makes other people tiny in a realistic manner.
The fight between Beta and Daryl was really thrilling, and I don't think I've seen a one-on-one fight like this in the Walking Dead. This put's the Season 3 fight in the cage in 2nd place (both remarkable). Apart from newcomers, most people will only remember the Season 3 fight in the future.
To respect the other characters, Connie has been a great help to the team, just like Daryl. When Connie's sister Kelly asks if Connie will be okay, people at Hilltop reassure them that Connie will be okay because she's with Daryl, but Magna says that Daryl will be okay because he's with Connie. They become quite a radiant and symbiotic team, really that they may actually become a couple.
The issue with the episode is that it doesn't focus much on Beta, making you want to know him more. Maybe in a future episode, I know, but still. Ben meanwhile is clearly in love with Lydia, and is asked by Lydia why he rescued her.
Carol holds a public trade fair because her supplies are running low. That's when they run into some bandits. "Ezekiel: It never ends, does it?" Carol tries to bargain with them for attendance to the trade fair and when it doesn't work, she asks them when was the last time they saw a real movie, and they become surprised. If this were a parody, it could have worked. Last time Ezekiel's people went out, they found a movie theatre. They are hired by Carol to keep the streets clean, for their service. They call themselves "The Highwaymen".
That's it for now, SkateLane Booting Out
