Detective Pikachu Could be the Best Anime Movie Adaptation

A movie is finally coming, a movie based on Pokemon! It took a long time, but hopefully this might turn out to be a worthy one.

Pokemon used to be my favorite anime and video game series as a teen. But this has got to be the best live action adaptation movie based on an Anime (or a Franchise). For a trailer at least.

Pikachu plays a Detective in "Detective Pikachu". Voiced by "Ryan Reynolds", Pikachu finds a sidekick named Tim Journey ("Justice Smith"), and they are on a journey to find Tim's father.

The trailer suggests that it's using the original 150 Pokemon from the Red and Blue games (the Indigo League from the anime). You can notice a few of the Pokemon as you watch the trailer, and when you do, you are reminded of your old life while you scream "hey that's Charizard" or "hey that's Bulbasaur." Let's see how many Pokemon are going to fit inside the movie.

"Pokemon: Detective Pikachu" is releasing in the summer of 2019 (5/10/2019). It looks like a movie that is being released for long time fans, rather than present fans. There are too many live action adaptations of many franchises that failed, so as long this adaptation makes me happy, I'm fine.
