Shazam is going to use the app Shazam, but not in the way you think

The app Shazam "might" be presented in the movie SHAZAM, but not in the way you think. Think of it as a parody of Captain Marvel.

When Fans asked the director David F. Sandberg of the movie SHAZAM if the character will use the app Shazam, he said yes.

David F. Sandberg: Yes but in our movie it's called Captain Marvel

Imagine people using the phone and using the app and saying "Captain Marvel" to find out the name of the song they sang.

Fans would remember the war of rights that DC lost to Marvel, and thus losing many stories and thus the title. There's not much marketing in comparison to Aquaman, which is surely because there is a very little gap for it to grab anything from the box office. And SHAZAM is not a popular character so there's that.

SHAZAM releases in theaters in April 5th, 2019.
