DCEU Updates

Apart from previous mentions, here are further updates for the The New DC. I'll keep on updating when there are multiple updates.

The Matt Reeves movie Batman will feature The Penguin as his nemesis. It will be noir in style, like the Nolan Batman movies. There will be a rogues gallery, and Reeves says casting will start shortly after he reworks the script. We don't know who the rogues are, which can be anybody.

We also don't have a lead actor to play Batman. Meanwhile, Ben Affleck who has dropped out of acting as Batman, has been rumored to wanting to direct a DC movie.

Will Smith has dropped off from playing Deadshot in the upcoming "The Suicide Squad". Instead, Idris Elba will replace Will Smith as Deadshot in The Suicide Squad, who has played major roles in many great movies like American Gangster and Pacific Rim. He has also acted in the MCU. Sounds like a pretty good catch. There are also rumors about Margot Robbie returning to the movie

There have also been rumors about who the new additions will be to The Suicide Squad. King Shark is one character who might join the team. Another character might join the team is the pacifist Peacemaker who kills for peace and Dave Bautista is rumored to play the role. Ratcatcher is also a character who might join the team, with Deadshot supposed to be her father. Polka-Dot Man is the last villain joining the team. So with Deadshot, that makes a team of 5. If Harley Quinn comes, it will be a team of 6. Let's see.

The Flash will supposedly try something related to time travel, so it can be a Flashpoint movie with or without a reset. The plot will involve the Speed Force Multiverse.

Aquaman 2 will explore the other Sever Kingdoms of Atlantis. Only Jason Momoa has signed up so far, and the screenwriter from Aquaman, David Leslie-Johnson McGoldrick.

Black Mask and Victor Zsasz are the antagonists of Birds of Prey.

Finally the best part. There may be a Doctor Fate movie in Development. The Marvel hero Doctor Strange is a rip-off of Doctor Fate. I thought Doctor Fate was going to appear in Justice League Dark, a team lead by Constantine. This seems like a good way to start that. DC Movies exist in their own movies, even though they are in the same universe.

If DC makes lighter movies, it'll ruin what it has because what it had was something different. People might not like the Snyderverse, but it could have made good movies. I think people expected too much out of it them.

That's it for now, SkateLane Booting Out
